PRODUCT FEATURES:
The ATERA is provided with vibration canceling system which delivers a constantly stable field of view by correcting fine movements over the entire magnification
Vixens new apochromatic refractor features high-performance Super ED Glass (=SD) made of leading-edge FPL53 glass to deliver extremely clear and sharp images by eliminating color aberration. The SD glass is designed to gather all g-ray (purple), C-ray (red), F-ray (blue), d-ray (yellow), and e- ray (green) to about a 0 value, which makes this excellent lens material that reduces chromatic aberration over all colors. The light baffle positions in the drawtube are arranged to take advantage of the entire field of view of a DSLR camera with a full frame image sensor. When used in combination with the new optional SD Reducer HD Kit or SD Flattener HD Kit , you will have a 44mm image circle with full-format (D)SLR cameras.
The Reducer DH, sold separately, includes the SD Flattener DH and is essential for wide field astrophotography with the SD Scopes. Eyepieces sold separately..
The feature to switch off power after 5 minutes reduces unnecessary power consumption.
All the lens surfaces are fully-multicoated for high contrast.
The prism is provided with phase-coating to dramatically improve resolution by reducing halation, and
dielectric high-reflectivity coating to maximize reflection to produce clearer and brighter views.
The ATERA Vibration Cancelling System employs 2 vibration cancellations systems to reduce vibration. The prism is located at the gimbal rotation base which moves both horizontally and vertically. Vibration is cancelled by keeping the prism still when vibration occurs. A sensor will detect movement and moves the compulsory prism in the direction needed to maintain a stable field of view.
