The D-740 Series 4.0x power Night Vision Sights feature high-grade multicoated optics, polyamide molded housing and ergonomically designed controls. The D-740 series NV sights are superior for medium-range shooting engagements and are built to achieve outstanding accuracy in the most unfavorable conditions. The power sufficient electronics provides the best in the industry battery life of up to 120 hours from one set of AA batteries. The sights are nitrogen-purged and are water resistant and dust- and shock-proof.

The D-740 Series sights are available with a high-performance Gen 2+ tubes (BE72740SG, BE72740MGW), Photonis ECHO (BE72740MGP, BE72740MGPW) and MIL spec Gen 3+ image intensifier tubes (BE73740MGU, BE73740MGUW). BE72740MGW, BE72740MGPW and BE73740MGUW feature White Phosphor technology. All D-740 Series sights are equipped with the manual gain control to manually adjust the image brightness depending on the ambient light conditions. This is an especially useful feature for the environments when the ambient light conditions change frequently. Also this ability to control the viewed image brightness helps with the so called night blindness effect.
