Designed for suspension or microcarrier cell culture. Complete system comes with either a 19 or 45L vessel, impeller assembly, and top drive motor. The large, adjustable-height PTFE paddle of the impeller assembly works together with the dimple in the bottom of the flask to provide gentle, even distribution and reduce dead ares. The impeller's wetted components include 316L stainless steel, virgin PTFE, and Rulon* 641 (a specially formulated PTFE compound approved by the FDA for food and drug applications).

Vessels are equipped with 45mm (1³/₄") sidearms to accommodate probes for monitoring and control, and tubing for sparging or media addition. The 19L vessel has six sidearms; the 45L vessel has seven. The vessel and impeller are autoclavable. The lift-off top drive is not autoclavable.
