Designed for use with a thermometer these VWR Standard Block Heaters are high wattage, economical, and compact. A PID microprocessor controller maintains temperature stability to within +/- 0.1C (+/-0.2C for 230V models). Temperature is adjusted with two control knobs, one for low temperature - ambient to 100C and high temperature - 75 to 150C. The block heaters accept modular heating blocks (sold separately). The anodized aluminum blocks provide excellent heat transfer and temperature stability. Blocks are available for microcentrifuge tubes, PCR tubes, microplates, and a variety of other types of tubes, a sand bath is also available.
