The visible bright green marking does not glow in the dark, but with exposure to white light will emit sufficient phosphorescence to expose X-ray film. The spectral emission peak is 5600Å. The high energy level pen is designed for films which are less responsive than KODAK® type XAR-5. Since the mark emits no beta or other isotope emissions, the use of an intensifier screen will not affect the mark’s intensity. The 114mm retractable tip pen has a pocket clip for convenient access.
