The Vixen ED103S 103mm Telescopes with GPD2 Mount/ Motor Set 99792--99792M focus the full visible spectrum of light to a critical point much more accurately than past ED products. The Vixen ED103S telescope lenses are almost free of chromatic aberration in all colors and are critically sharp edge to edge. The astro-photographer will be especially pleased with the high contrast images through this refractor telescope. With newly designed high definition ED lenses, this 103mm telescope gives crisp pinpoint star images while still using the newest environmentally friendly glass. The GPD2 equatorial mount comes standard with tripod and counterweight. It is easy to use and functions well for both the visual observer and astrophotography. The declination and right-ascension functions with 144-tooth aluminum worm gears allow accurate tracking. Telescope tube motion is controlled by included control knobs for accurate slewing.
