Tele Vue Adjustable Mount System AAC-0002 allows you to install TeleVue-60 OTA Telescope TVO-2460 to Schmidt Cassegrain telescopes with 8" scopes such as Celestron CGEM 800 8" Schmidt Cassegrain Computerized Telescope 11097, Celestron CGE 800 Telescope w/ StarBright XLT coatings 11058-XLT or larger for use as a "superfinder". X-Y Mount System lets you to collimate the optical axis of the Tele Vue-60 Telescope precisely with the optical axis of the larger scope so that the two scopes are aimed at the same point in the sky.
The X-Y Adjustable System AAC-0002 consists of 3-sections (Televue Adjustable X-Y Mount AAM-0001, Tele Vue Block Adapter Mount MBC-1001 and TeleVue SCT Accessory Bracket SAB-1001) that can be used in multiple applications. The Televue X-Y Adjustable Accessory Mount AAM-001 includes a dovetail that fits into the X-Y axis adjuster and bolts into the Mounting Block MBC-1001. The SCT Accessory Bracket SAB-1001 is permanently installed with existing holes on the rear cell of the Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope and the adjuster fits in. The plastic knob locks the unit into place and a safety stop is included in the Mounting Block for additional security.
Televue X-Y Mount System allows you easy to remove the Televue TV-60 for other applications. You only need simply take out the stop screws. By leaving the adjustment screws in place, your "Super Finder" should remain in collimation when returned to the larger scope. The Televue X-Y Adjustable Mount System can be used on its own to mount the TV-60 Telescope on the ring mount of all TeleVue telescopes , making it serve two purposes.
