Meade LX800-ACF Telescope is a high-powered, high precision telescope that utilizes an Advanced Coma Free optical system to create flatter, brighter, clearer image fields with absolutely no coma, perfect for detecting pinpoint stars. The Meade Advanced Coma Free system is so effective it's patented; the flatter image fields it creates are excellent for any astro-photographer or professional astronomer, and it all but eliminates diffraction spikes. f/8 ACF optics are the center piece of these telescopes, while Ultra High Transmission Coatings (UHTC) on the lenses makes for extraordinarily bright, high contrast images when looking through the telescope. The primary mirror doesn't need a mirror lock with the Meade LX800-ACF, since the Meade telescope features Crayford style zero image shift focusing and two speed, 7:1 reduction control. The telescope is comfortable to use, even during long exposure times, thanks to its premium HD-60 25mm eye piece with long eye relief.
