Product Category Description:

Flammable material storage units have a specially designed compressor with all electrical components enclosed to prevent accidental ignition of contents. These units meet National Fire Protection Association Standard 99 and comply with OSHA Article No. CFR1910.308. Units also feature an enclosed compressor overload, relay switch, and the thermostat. they include a commercial power cord with a three-prong plug.

Hazardous location units have a mechanical assembly designed to prevent electrical sparks from igniting volatile or explosive substances in the surrounding environment. A specially designed compressor, with all electrical components enclosed, prevents sparks from triggering an explosion of vapors in the environment. Units are listed by Underwriters Laboratories for Class 1, Group C and D applications. Wiring complies with the National Electrical Code, Article 501-4 for Class 1, Division 1 and 2.

All units are commercial UL listed.

Notes: Flammable material storage and hazardous location units feature static condensers and need an additional 2.5cm (1") clearance from top and sides and 3.8cm (11/2") from back for proper condenser ventilation when recessed. For added safety, hazardous location units must be hardwire connected to an appropriately rated conduit box.
