Levenhuk LabZZ SP10 Astroplanetarium Database: about 10,000 stored observed objects. Rotating projections
Levenhuk LabZZ SP10 Astroplanetarium will show you a projection of the starry sky on a wall or a ceiling in an ordinary city apartment. This device is perfect for astronomy classes at school or kindergarten. This is a wonderful gift for any curious child.
Place an astroplanetarium on a flat surface, direct the lens toward a wall or ceiling, and turn on the device. You will observe a terrific panorama of 10,000 stars of the Northern Hemisphere. The optimal distance from the device to the projection is 1.5-2 m. The kit includes 2 star slides: the one shows stars as bright dots as you see them by the naked eye, while another one shows light outlines of constellations. You can rotate the slide around its axis: the whole projection will rotate accordingly.
You can direct the lens vertically or horizontally. The slides are inserted in the disc tray on the front panel. The ring around the lens is used for focusing. The device runs on 4 AA batteries (not included).
The kit includes a planisphere (a rotating star chart). It shows what objects you can observe in the sky at a certain time of the day in a certain month.
