These stainless steel rechargeable fire extinguishers use ABC dry powder to provide fire protection. A fusible link melts at 74°C (165°F), automatically discharging the chemical powder within five seconds to extinguish the fire. Pressure gauge permits visual inspection. Extinguishers mount vertically above the hood liner without the need for plumbing or electrical connections. A drilled hole is required in hood liner. Depending on size of hood, one to three extinguishers may be required. Factory installation is recommended.
