Kowa's flagship products, the TSN-883 and 884, has been upgraded and refreshed with the new TSN-88A/S series scopes. These scopes utilize Kowa's PROMINAR Fluorite crystal lenses that possess special dispersion properties that nearly eliminate chromatic aberration to redefine the standards of color brilliance. With increased light transmission through improved lens and prism coatings, the new TSN-88A/S are brighter than ever before! The TSN-88A/S housing is waterproof to JIS Protection Class 7 and filled with dry nitrogen gas to prevent internal fogging. The magnesium alloy body and barrel are constructed by a sophisticated process called thixotropic molding to give the strength and feel from a traditional metal body, but with much lighter weight. The rugged structure can tolerate the severest of conditions while delivering the highest level of confidence and security. The TSN-88A/S employs a dual focus system to ensure smooth movement at high magnifications for pinpoint accuracy in image display. The scope features a retractable sunshade, dual tripod mounting for both 1/4 and 3/8 in. Tripod mounts, aiming sight, and has a bayonet locking mechanism for the eyepiece to prevent it from falling out. The TSN-88A/S is compatible with the TE-11WZ II Wide Angle Zoom Eyepiece, the TE-80XW or the TE-20H eyepieces. The new TSN-88A/S spotting scopes are the industry leader in quality of optics and the benchmark of optical excellence.
