Galco's Parabellum is the shoulder holster system for the 21st century gun carrier! Galco has a long and storied history with shoulder holster systems, ranging from the original Jackass rigs of 1970s Chicago, through the Miami Classic made famous by Don Johnson in the 1980s, and into the 2000s with the Vertical Holster System (VHS) so popular among Americas warfighters.

Now, Galco is modernizing shoulder holster carry with next-generation passive and active retention systems. Using hybrid construction that combines Kydex with top grain leather and Premium Center Cut Steerhide, along with a refined and updated harness, the Parabellum is a giant leap forward in shoulder system design.

Carrying both pistol and spare magazines in a horizontal orientation, the Parabellums Kydex holster and mag carrier bodies allow very fast firearm drawing and reloading capabilities. Retention of the pistol is accomplished with both a passive retention device at the trigger guard and a pivoting hood that is swiftly released by the thumb to draw the pistol. When holstering, the hood is automatically opened by the pistol, eliminating the need to assess retention-strap interference. The open-front magazine carriers use rubberized retention ramps for security and permit a very fast reload without any encumbering straps.

The Parabellums holster and magazine carrier components are mated to Galcos newest wide comfort harness, which is a full 2.75in at the shoulder, maximizing wearer comfort. At the same time, concealability especially with an open jacket is enhanced with a recontouring of the harnesss strap shape. The new harness also features an improved key-hole harness fastener system that replaces the earlier screw-and-post design that results in greater security, ease of assembly, and greatly reduced chance of fastener loss.
