Wes is the son of the legendary Gil Hibben, a man who has designed blades for hunting, survival and the silver screen for more than 65 years - he also designed the very first Browning knives that first appeared in our 1969 catalog.

Wes Hibben learned the knife making craft from his father and shaped his future at the age of eight when he built and sold his first knife. Growing up, Wes spent every minute he could in his fathers shop learning then, as an adult, took his skills North to the great state of Alaska. Many of his edged creations are inspired by his personal experiences spent in the wilds as a hunter.
