BlackPoint Tactical was not the first company to produce an all KYDEX OWB holster. BlackPoint Tactical was the company who perfected the design. Our standard holster is constructed from a complete plastic shell made from .080" KYDEX. The .080 thickness is one of the most widely used thicknesses for KYDEX holsters and pouches. In our testing, we found it to be the best blend of toughness and durability without unnecessary added excess weight and bulk of thicker materials. When you are looking at our standard holster, there are a few design differences which set it apart from other all KYDEX holsters on the market today. The standard holster is designed to have a total curve throughout the holster. Many KYDEX manufacturers mold the holster flat and only tweak in the sides of the holsters where the belt loops attach. In our product, you will see a uniform curvature throughout the entire body of the holster. Additionally, our standard holster comes outfitted with a retention screw which provides the end user a range of adjustability to tweak the fit of the holster exactly to their personal preference. The holster comes standard will a 3/4 sweat guard which extends up the inside piece of KYDEX. This piece is designed to not only protect your gun from your body, but to protect your body from the pistol. When working with your pistol in and out of the holster, the sweat guard prevents your skin from getting pinched in the holster. Our customers can purchase the holster in both canted and straight up and down versions. All hardware on the holster comes with a factory applied coating of Loctite. Finally, as with all of our OWB holsters, the standard comes standard with all metal belt mounting hardware. This eliminates a common failure point of other holsters ensuring that you holster will be with you when you need your pistol.
