Easy-to-use controls include pneumatic seat-height adjustment, backrest tilt, and backrest-height adjustment. Chairs have scratch- and scuff-resistant chrome plating, five-legged case aluminum base with 58.4cm (23") leg spread, adjustable height 50.8cm (20") diameter cast aluminum footring, and single-wheel ball bearing casters.

Chair 21496-870 has an upholstered 39.4Wx36.8Wcm (151/2x141/2") contoured ergonomic backrest with lumbar curve, 6-way articulation seat and backrest control, including seat tilt feature.
