Openings are 31.75mm (11/4") square with smaller holes in bottom shelf to keep conical tubes vertical. Center shelf prevents small tubes from sliding out. Tube supports with black vinyl coating absorb rattle and protect glass tubes from breakage. Tube supports without vinyl coating are made of hot dipped galvanized wire.
