These BD BioCoat Collagen I Cellware consists of a family of collagen-coated cultureware products including inserts, micro and multiwell plates, flasks, coverslips, and culture slides. Convenient, ready-to-use BD BioCoat Collagen Cellware offers improved cell attachment and an increased proliferation rate of transfected mammalian cells, primary cells, and stem cells. Cellware can be used for the culture of PC12 cells, endothelial cells, hepatocytes, muscle cells, keratinocytes, kidney cells, and more.
Cell culture inserts coated with Fibrillar Collagen I offer a three-dimensional matrix of native collagen fibrils. The source of Collagen I is rat tail tendon.
Culture flasks with a 25cm2 cell growth area have a volume of 70mL; 75cm2 flasks have a volume of 250mL; 150cm2 flasks have a volume of 600mL; and 175cm2 flasks have a volume of 750mL.
BD BioCoat Collagen I Cellware is tested for ability to promote attachment and spreading of HT-1080 human fibrosarcoma cells. Also tested and found negative for bacteria and fungi. Cellware is stable for six months from date of shipment when stored at 4 to 30°C (39.2 to 86°F). Inserts, coverslips, and CultureSlides are stable for at least three months from date of shipment when stored at 2 to 8°C (35.6 to 46.4°F).
