The Matrix features a polymer exterior, mated to an aluminum internal frame and wrapped with our exclusive foamed vinyl grip. The Matrix incorporates Dual Fuel Technology, so you&';ll never be without a power sourceit runs with either the included rechargeable 18650 battery, or 2 optional CR123A primary (single use) cells. The 18650 battery charges inside the flashlight, using the supplied cord, or any USB-C phone/electronics charging cordno separate battery charger needed. Premium components include a Cree XPG2 LED, gold-plated connectors, polished aluminum reflector and optical glass lens. In keeping with our emphasis on intuitive design and simplicity in our law enforcement tools and training, activation of the Matrix is via a single pressure switch on the tail cap. A quick double tap of the switch activates a programmable secondary setting of 15 or 300 lumens, or strobe. Setting the secondary light level takes just secondsturn on the light, tap the gray selector button to cycle through the levels until you reach your chosen setting, and turn off the light to lock it in. A 3-position twist selector allows choice of intermittent, constant-on, or locked. The included 18650 Lithium-Ion battery also features its own, integrated USB-C charge port. This means that in addition to in-light recharging, the battery can be charged on its own, simply by plugging the charge cord directly into the cell. Light includes the rechargeable battery, retractable USB-C cord, and reversible/removable pocket clip. DUAL FUEL CAPABLE FLASHLIGHTS-IMPORTANT NOTES This flashlight allows disposable batteries* to be used in place of the included lithium-ion rechargeable cell. This Dual Fuel capability is for backup purposes-lumen output, run time and other performance metrics will vary with the use of disposable batteries.
