Diagonal provided with most astronomical telescopes is designed for viewing of celestial objects, but it flips the view in the eyepiece to give a mirror image. To see terrestrial (or Celestial) objects with normal left-right orientation, it is necessary to use the 45° Diagonal Erect-Image Prism.
