The Meade Series 5000 Xtreme Wide Angle 2" Eyepieces feature a staggering 100 degree apparent field of view. Meade 5000 Xtreme Wide Angle Eyepieces use 9 optical elements to achieve a high contrast image with razor sharp correction all the way to the edge of the field. These Meade Telescope Eyepieces feature blackened lens edges and internal surfaces for enhanced contrast, and a parafocal design for little or no focus change when switching between eyepieces of the series.
The Meade 5000 Xtreme Wide Angle Eyepiece features a precision machined 2" barrel, comfortably long eye relief, and a rubber eyeguard for comfort and blocking stray light. Please note that the eyepiece is a large 2" barrel diameter eyepiece and requires a 2" diagonal or eyepiece holder. The Meade 5000 Series XWA Eyepieces are covered by a full one year Meade factory limited warranty.
