Please note: There are many manufacturers of the M1911 model handgun, also known as the 1911 Government or the 1911-A1. The LaserMax fits all models true to the original handgun design. Barrels shorter than 5" or changes in receiver design may render the handgun incompatible with the LaserMax. (Does NOT fit polymer frames.)
